Welcome to Art For Monkees Sake: Painting. I love my paintings. While they may not be famous, or demonstrating any presently merritted painting techniques, I love my paintings. My paintings to me, no matter how frustrating and painstaking they may be at times, bring me such rewarding joy in the end, and a sense of warmth, I have to say I have a real love for them. In a way, painting is one of the most fundamental, visceral expressions a truly visual person like me can do. There's photography, there's graphic design, both of which I love and probably do a lot more of than painting. But both those are more about a relationship with the machines and instruments to create your images, and the images you create, although a reflection of you, are not as so completely from within you as the total free-will of paint on canvas.
