What better way to know about the Monkees than Articles About The Monkees? Okay, so there are better ways, but they aren't appropriate... ;) *G* I certainly don't have the largest collection of articles about the Monkees, but I tried to pull together some interesting ones from sixties magazines that I don't think are anywhere else on the web. The articles that I transcribed have been commented on. :) You are so lucky. And contrary to popular belief, I was not on drugs when I wrote these comments.

SLEEPY JEAN'S SCANNED ARTICLES FROM THE SIXTIES

["Barbara Hamaker Talks About Her Groovy Job With The Monkees"]
Tiger Beat's Official Monkees Spectacular #11; March 1968
Long, detailed, possibly even meaningful.

["Facts About Micky You Never Knew"]
Tiger Beat's Official Monkees Spectacular #11; March 1968
These articles are always so accurate and inspiring.

["A Hideaway Weekend With Davy Jones" by Jeff Neal]
16 magazine; September 1967
Now, doesn't that sound naughty? Read the article, it isn't.

["My Intimate Childhood Pix" by Micky Dolenz]
16 magazine; September 1967
Is it *really* by Micky Dolenz?

["Micky's Secret Go Kart"]
Flip magazine; April, 1968
It's not a secret anymore...

["Micky Gets A New Car"]
Flip magazine; April, 1968
Very cute.

SLEEPY JEAN'S TRANSCRIBED ARTICLES FROM THE SIXTIES

These articles I completely copied and transcribed from their original magazine. For some reason it didn't occur to me to scan the magazine. These took a long time to do, and I don't like them as much as scanning the magazine, but they do come with all those crazy comments of mine...

["Chip Douglas Answers More of Your Monkees Questions"]
Flip magazine; April, 1968
Realistically, he really didn't though.

["The Monkees Grooviest Change"]
Flip magazine; April, 1968
About the Monkees clothes. It's really not their grooviest change.

["Play Ball With The Monkees"]
Flip magazine; April, 1968
Remember a time when you could easily say "play" and "balls" in the same sentance innocently...? Take yourself back to that time.
