Sure, everyone has their own idea of what the Monkees songs really mean. Those sweet, innocent songs ruined in their perverted minds. But, you see, I figured you could all benifit from my understanding, especially since most of those go *wayyyyyyyyyyyy* back, and will all be alluded to in my novel! Heh heh... these are funny.
"Dr. Ducks Super Secret All-Purpose Sauce" -- When the world's going to hell, Michael's driving the bus. "Mary, Mary"-- Restraining Order pending. "Look Out (Here Comes Tomorrow)"-- Davy: "Whatdoyoumean, I can only sleep with one of you???!!" "You Just May Be The One"-- With the lyrics "All men must have someone... And you just may be the one" my sister has decided this obviously implies there is only one person on this earth to be divided among all 3 billion men. Michael would think such a crazy thing. "I Truly Understand"-- Peter: "So, you slept with Michael?" "Don't Call On Me"-- Michael: "So, you slept with Peter?" "Sunny Girlfriend"-- Michael: "Sleepy Jean is our dealer."
"Your Auntie Grizelda"-- Looks like Micky Dolenz's past life wife reincarnated as an English teacher. "Peter Gunn's Gunn"-- Peter: "I can be trippy, and creative, and unconventional, and wild, and unpredicted, and amazing, and weird, and cool, and..." "Writing Wrongs"-- Michael: "I can be that too. And, oh, better..." "Some of Shelly's Blues"-- Michael: "Why on EARTH would you marry Peter, and leave me when you KNOW I care about you more and am so much better in bed?" "I Truly Understand"-- Peter: "So, you DID sleep with Michael!" "Cuddly Toy"-- Sex. "Salesman"-- Drugs. "Circle Sky"-- Rock And Roll. "A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You"-- Davy: "I will never, ever, ever, ever admit I'm fully wrong... but I'm a little bit wrong... And I guess that makes you a little bit right." "Daily Nightly"-- Michael: "We can *definately* abuse the use of this Moog synthesizer before any other band does..." "Auntie's Municipal Court"-- Michael: "When the whole world's judging me, there is at least once place that is sacred." "Magnolia Simms"-- Michael: "If you can't beat them... Do something they have no idea what is." "Little Girl"-- Micky: "Well, she wasn't that little..." "Looking For The Good Times"-- Davy: "The drugs don't work anymore." "Shorty Blackwell"-- Micky: "Man, I so did not want Michael and sleepy Jean living with me in my farm house in that past life... Oh, yeah, and the apocolypse is here." "Mommy and Daddy"-- Micky: "Did I mention the apocolypse is here?" "The Good Earth"-- Davy: "We're going to miss this earth after the apocolypse is here..." "Calico Girlfriend"-- Michael: "I HATE THE APOCOLYPSE!!!! And where is my Calico Girlfriend...?" "Come on In"-- Peter: "And let *me* come on in..." "Do You Feel It Too...?"-- Uh huh. "Gettin' In"-- Uh huh. "Goldilocks Sometime"-- When everyone else is one drugs, and going totally insane, Davy stays perfectly sane and clear in his euphimistic world and is totally normal, except for those relapses into child-like states and constant rocking. "I Can't Get Her Off My Mind"-- Davy: "But I am taking something for it." "I Never Thought It Peculiar"-- Davy: "After stalking her all this time, she finally gave into me, and seems desensitized to the trauma." "I Wanna Be Free"-- Davy: "And sleep with who ever I want, so don't get mad, okay?"
